System for remote reading of water meters AQUA


Function

The system for remote reading Aqua serves for complete automation of the reading, the visualization, the processing and the analysis of the information for the consumption of warm and cold water.

The system solves completely a wide range of problems:

  • automated remote collecting of information for consumed water from the water meters of each individual subscriber;

  • consolidation of the information for the consumed water of the entire building;

  • remote visualization of the readings of each individual water meter in general indicator board, located in the common parts of the building;

  • automated remote reading of the water meter's readings done by collector through the general indicator board, located in the common parts of the building;

  • minimization of the subjective errors during the reading through transferring the data from the general indicator board directly to the laptop (portable computer) of the collector;

  • automated processing and analysis of the data through flexible Information system AQUA;

  • possibility for each subscriber for receiving adequate information about the consumed water and remote by Internet;

  • correspondence with the respective European and national standards.

Priorities for the individual subscriber

  • the necessity of the collector visiting your home, falls away;

  • accurate information about the made consumptions - daily, monthly;

  • the subjective error during the reading by the collector and preparing incorrect book-keeping are avoided;

  • possibility for alarm or warning to the end user when there are failures, leakages or sabotages of the control system for reading;

  • guarantied term of exploitation and independence 5 years;

  • possibility for individual control over the made consumptions from unspecified place using connection through Internet.

Priorities for the floor property

  • Covering the requirements of Regulation No 4/17.06.2005 for designing, building and exploitation of buildings, water-mains and sewerage installations of the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works. According to this regulation, putting water meters with possibility for remote visualization and reading, in the new buildings is compulsory.

  • The system is appropriate for automation of the reading not only of water, but also of the consumed electric power and heat power.

  • Accurate information of the made from each subscriber expenses in the building and totally for the entire building - daily, monthly.

  • Possibility for alarm or warning when there are failures, leakages, sabotages.

 

Sphere of application

This is one extremely flexible and major system, that allows remote reading of water, heat power, electric power, gas...

The system is appropriate for individual subscriber as well as for entire buildings, business centers, housing estates from closed type.

 

Typical structure of System for remote reading of water meters AQUA for one building


In each subscriber, included into the system, special water meters with digital outflow (primary measuring meters) are installed.

The water meters exchange information with the concentrator. To do so, each water meter is connected to special four-conductor cable, which provides the communication according to the specifications of M-BUS.

Displays (meters for visualization) are connected to the concentrator. For each water meter an individual display is mounted. Through the display each subscriber or the collector could check visually remote the readings of each water meter in the building.

Usually the concentrator, the meters for visualization and the power unit are located in the electrical board, located in the common parts of the building. In this way the collector could receive information about the consumed water without necessarily entering each separate home or office.

The collector could receive information about the readings of the detached water meters in different ways:

  • Through direct connecting of the portable PC of the collector to the concentrator at some of the following interfaces - LAN interface (Ethernet with coupling RJ45) or at RS485C (option);

  • Through remote exchange of information between the portable PC of the collector and the concentrator by Wireless communication at 2.4 GHz (exchange of data from 100 to 500 meters);

 

Besides, the concentrator could be connected directly to Internet by cable system (Ethernet, cable modem ...) or by GSM modem (GPRS service). This is extremely flexible and comfortable way for receiving information. By this remote way through Internet connection the collector and the "Water supply and Sewerage" can receive information as well as each subscriber of the system.

Detailed description of the modules of the system

The system for remote reading of water meters AQUA consists of:

 

Primary measuring meter - special water meter with digital outflow

It is characterized with easy installation, programmable parameters: date of the installation; actual value that has been reached by the water meter; its serial number and date of the following check.

If replacement of the water meter is necessary, the electric board is kept and is programmed to the different readings of the new water meter.

 

 

Flow metering concentrator - WCN-100/50

This is a meter for collecting information from primary measuring flow meters (up to 60 through wired interface - pulse, M-BUS or non-wired - Wireless. With the help of special software it has the possibility to be programmed, to save, to generalize and to transmit the complete collected information from the primary measuring flow meters. By serial port RS485C (optional), Wireless communication at 2.4 GHz (exchange of data up to 50 meters) or LAN interface (Ethernet, static IP address) the data could be directly transmitted to the supplier of the public utility (Water supply and Sewerage, Heat and power supply, Power supply...) in appropriate file format with exact data and time of the report for consumption.

 

Radio module Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz

Implements two-way communication up to 50 meters between the Flow metering concentrator, located in the building board and portable PC for remote collecting of the reported readings. The module ignores the need of access of the collector.

 

 

 

Meter for visualization

This is a display, through which could be remotely visualized the readings of the primary measuring meter (the water meter). The meter for visualization usually is put in the common parts of the building and allows the collector to read the consumed water of each individual subscriber, without necessarily visits its home.

The meter has eight spaced indication and independent power supply, extremely easy to be installed. Due to the opened software, there is a possibility for programming readings to different primary measuring meters. Besides the visualization, it gives an opportunity for remote reading through wired (M-BUS, according to EN1434-3) and wireless (Wireless) technologies.

 

 

 

Electrical board

Serves for installing the system of visualization and remote reading, according to Regulation  4/17.06.2005. It has two versions:

  • With heating for outside installation - IP 66

  • Without heating for inside installation - IP 56

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Power unit

Ensures the necessary voltages to the visualization modules, flow metering concentrator and the primary measuring meters for functioning.

Software system AQUA

Serves for maintenance, programming and setting of the primary, visualization module as well as for collecting. It is offered for free.
